Here at Eastman, we are happy that our women’s golf group – Eastman Women’s Golf Association (EWGA) – is active and involved with the community. We welcome players of all abilities!
The EWGA was founded to promote interest in the game of golf. Any woman who has reached her 18th birthday and is a member of Eastman Golf Links (EGL) is eligible for membership in the upon payment of current dues. The EWGA season begins this year on Thursday, May 28 and concludes on Thursday, Sept. 24.
In addition to supporting women’s golf, EWGA membership allows participation in a variety of events, including individual and team matches each Thursday morning as well as the Member/ Guest and Member/Member tournaments. Each week a member may choose to play 9 or 18 holes from their selected tee.
The EWGA hosts an annual tournament to benefit Turning Points Network (turningpointsnetwork.org). This year’s tournament, open to all, is scheduled for Aug. 6. Watch Eastman Highlights for details.
Please consider joining and supporting women’s golf at Eastman. Your participation will allow you to meet fellow golfers and foster friendships in a supportive environment to work on your golf game.
If you’re interested in joining us or have questions, please contact one of our EWGA Board co-chairs: Sally Armor (sarmor125@yahoo. com) or Nancy Calderwood (calderwoodn1@gmail.com).
Leslie Rounsaville serves as secretary of the EWGA.
